Passed
A little catch up on this rather cold and dull Sunday. I didn’t mean to be absent for so long, but life has been kind of topsy turvey these last couple of days.
First of all, Kelly and I passed our little flower arranging course, and we have our certificates. I don’t know how difficult it would be not to pass, but we did put our hearts and souls into learning what we could, during the 3 days. We’ve covered the basics, we both have a little A4 piece of paper to say so, and now we move on. We have now enrolled on a second course, aimed solely at wedding flowers, although at the moment, I can’t remember the date.
But my absence wasn’t really to do with the course, not all of it anyway. Matty brought some tummy bug home from work, so from Wednesday evening he’s been ill. He’s OK now, but I spent two evenings playing nurse. Also, my Nan has gone back into hospital, so all in all, it’s been a stressful couple of days.
My Nan collapsed at home, and was rushed into hospital on Thursday. We found out later, she had been overdosing on her tablets. The doctor had given her tablets to take, morning and evening, and so had the hospital after her last stay a couple of weeks ago. Although one set is in a pink box, and one set is in a grey box, they are both the same tablets. She didn’t realise, so she’s been taking a double dose all this time. Thursday’s dose was the straw which tipped the camel over.
So, between doing the course, and looking after Matty and his… yukky bug stuff, aslo visiting my Nan, and also trying to keep up with everything else I do, the Internet had to take a back seat. By Saturday morning, Matty felt OK, which was a bit of a “Phew” moment, at least that was one less job to do. He can look after himself again.
Also, MollyCat has some sort of cat cold. She’s been sneezing and feeling sorry for herself. Saturday morning, she was packed in her travel box and we took a trip to the vets. Getting her into her box was an absolute nightmare, it took ages coaxing her inside. Yet, at the other end, to go home, she just walks in to it for the vet, as good as gold! She’s only had a jab, but she seems a lot better, she’s back to doing her normal cat stuff.
To be honest, I feel worn out. All the running around after all these sick creatures, I need a rest!
I have been OK, I haven’t caught the mad tummy bug, which turns your bum into a hose pipe, or makes you bend over the toilet at the mere mention of food. I have escaped all of that, and I’ve even been immune to MollyCat sneezing in my face first thing in the morning.
What else? Oh… we booked another wedding for our venue dressing, another one for this year, August 24th this time, so that was some good news. And our girls have gone back to work with a couple of underwear parties. The last couple of days have therefor been, a lil bit manic.
We watched the football yesterday on TV. The FA Cup 5th round tie against Manchester United, which we won. It just makes me wonder, how we manage to beat the top two sides in the country, in one single week, within a matter of days. Yet days before, we were beaten by lowly Bolton in the league. It really does defy belief, how our performances are so up and down… there is a certain question about consistency which needs addressing. Perhaps it’s players attitudes towards poorer clubs? Whatever it is, it needs fixing.
So, that’s me, just doing a quick catch-up, just in case you thought I’d evaporated or something.
